Shipping fragile and valuable items like artwork requires thoughtful planning and meticulous packaging. That's why we've developed a step-by-step process to ensure your piece arrives exactly as intended, with no corners cut—except for the ones we protect!
Here's a detailed look into how we carefully prepare and ship our artworks:
🎁 Step 1: Shrink Wrapping the Artwork
The first step in our packaging process is shrink wrapping the artwork. This tight, protective film helps to:
Keep out dust and dirt
Shield the artwork from fingerprints or minor surface damage
Lock in any protective padding close to the surface
This initial layer acts like a second skin, offering lightweight but effective protection right from the start.
📐 Step 2: Adding Corner Guards
Once the artwork is securely shrink-wrapped, we move on to the edges of the frame, which are often the most vulnerable during shipping. To prevent any bumps, chips, or dents, we place special corner protectors on each corner of the frame. These are usually made of sturdy cardboard or foam and serve as bumpers in case the box is ever dropped or jostled.
📦 Step 3: Choosing the Right-Sized Box
Next, we select a shipping box that’s best suited for the size of the artwork. A good fit is essential. Too tight, and there's no room for cushioning. Too loose, and the artwork could move around during transit.
But we don’t stop there.
Even if the box is close to the perfect size, we take additional measures to make sure the artwork is completely snug inside. If we notice any space or gaps between the artwork and the box, we insert pieces of high-quality bubble wrap into those empty spaces. This added padding ensures the artwork does not shift or move at all during transit, reducing the risk of internal damage.

Once inside the box and fitted securely, we wrap the entire frame in bubble wrap—three times.
Yes, three full layers of high-quality bubble wrap.
Why so many? Because:
One layer might protect from minor bumps.
Two layers give decent cushioning.
But three layers provide peace of mind.
This triple-layer technique ensures that even if the box is handled roughly, your artwork will be safe inside, cushioned on all sides.
🏷️ Step 5: Labeling & Taping
Once everything is wrapped and placed perfectly, we secure the box with strong, durable tape—especially around seams and edges. Where needed, we double-tape to reinforce the packaging.
Then we add a clear, accurate shipping label that specifies exactly where the package is going. Sometimes we also include "Fragile" stickers or "Do Not Bend" instructions to alert shipping handlers to be extra cautious.

When you receive your package, you’ll immediately notice the care that went into packing it. As you unbox:
